Elective (non-emergency) filler dissolve, may be an option for anyone wishing to say goodbye to their hyaluronic acid filler, which may have migrated, been injected poorly, or no longer aligns with aesthetic goals. Dr. Rachel will assess requests for filler dissolve, where the original treatment has been done by another practitioner, on an individual basis.
What can I expect?
After numbing and cleaning the treatment area, an enzyme called Hyaluronidase is injected in the area of unwanted dermal filler. The enzyme begins its work immediately, and as the swelling subsides, results will be noticed over the next 24-72 hours. Those with a history of wasp or bee sting allergies will not be able to have this treatment due to the risk of a more severe allergic reaction.
